Repair

Repair TaktSignal fixes the usual problems after a power cut, a crash or a full disk. It never deletes your data and never touches ERPNext.

Control Center → Help & diagnostics → Repair TaktSignal.

What Repair does

• restarts whatever stopped: the database, the application, the background updates;
• if the database was not shut down cleanly and a leftover lock file points to another program, moves the lock file aside (it is kept, not deleted) and starts the database;
• removes unfinished temporary files, such as a half-downloaded update;
• checks the program files against the list they were built with, and tells you to reinstall if some are missing or damaged.

When to use it

TaktSignal's database files are missing	Restore a backup (Backup and restore). TaktSignal does not silently create an empty database.

System check

Help & diagnostics → Run system check checks the database, background updates, the ERPNext connection and whether the Reader account is still read-only, and reports what it found.

If Repair does not help, export diagnostics and report the problem.
